Hello to everyone! Welcome to my Blog!

My name is Tamara and I create jewelry as an ode to my love for animals and nature. That is a little tag line I came up with for myself. Do you like it? ;) But, seriously, nothing makes me happier than being outside, fresh air, identifying plants, and looking for wildlife. I try to recreate my love for the natural world with the metal that I manipulate so that love can be wearable for everyone.

And this is Max, my little striped muse and studio companion (when I am not doing dangerous things!)

I have always liked being “crafty” and making different kinds of art for as long as I can remember. Because I was a “late bloomer” in life and didn’t really experiment with what I might want to be when I grew up, I fell into metalsmithing later in life. I am currently 39 and awaiting my 40th on the same day of birth that I share with my daughter. I have two children and love them more than anything on this planet. Abigail and Nicholas <3 My husband, Josh, and I have a home full of animals that came to us in need and we wouldn’t have it any other way. 

This is where I create your art in my back yard. We still call it a little “coop” because when I started making jewelry I really DID work in a tiny old chicken coop with my daughter. She is a lampwork artist and so, so talented.
