Sleepy Chipmunk Necklace
Chipmunks are not true hibernators here in Massachusetts. They instead will find a burrow or den, often under piles of leaves, to store food and rest in a state or torpor for the winter. They will usually awaken on warmer days in search of food. I can often catch a glimpse of them running in and out of piles of leaves in our yard on warmer winter days looking for snacks. They are another reason to leave the leaves in the fall.
This little sleepy one is nestled in a pile of white oak leaves waiting for the warmer weather to appear. Silver, copper, and brass leaves hold him and keep him safe. The pendant itself is about 2 inches long and 1.75 inches tall. The attached necklace makes its total length to 21 inches long. The necklace ends in a sterling silver lobster clasp that holds onto a heart to keep the necklace closed. My Maker's Mark is stamped on the back of Max the Cat.
This one of a kind sleepy chipmunk necklace will be packaged up and mailed off to you within 3-5 business days.
