Little mice do not hibernate over the winter. Instead they will find warm places to nest and store food to remain active through the winter when the weather allows. They are often found in brush piles, large piles of leaves, or in dead hollow logs. Another important reason to leave the leaves for our tiny friends over the winter. These piles of leaves will have tree seeds in them, acorns, flower seeds, and other foods to help them survive the winters.
