Limited Edition Pumpkin Mouse Necklace

I wish I could say that this was entirely my idea, but it was not. Kristin, a wonderful collector of my jewelry, asked if I might make a pumpkin with a little mouse on top of the leaf. Of course it was an adorable idea and I had to try it! But I am going to put these little hand carved mice inside their pumpkins so they can snack and stay safe. Thank you for loving little wild mice as much as I do, Kristin! And I know you all will as well!

I am going to only make 5 of these sweet handmade pumpkin necklaces for the Autumn season. Each will look a tiny bit different from each other because they are truly handmade pieces. Every pumpkin leaf is made by pressing a real leaf into it making it a one of a kind pattern. The dried leaf is destroyed during my process so no two leaves are ever the same. The mice are made by melting down sterling silver in my torch's flame and giving them their general mousey body shape. I then hand carve the silver with my tools to give them textured fur, tiny ears, 4 of the tiniest feet, and even a little nose and tail. A time consuming process to make while also trying to hold them within my fingers and not harm myself or the little mouse! The pumpkins will all be about 1.25 inches tall and come to you on an 18 inch long sterling silver rope chain necklace as shown in the photos and video.

I will be making your mouse and pumpkin for you during the next week and they will be mailed off to you as soon as they are finished. You will get an email with a notification that they are adventuring to you along with a tracking number so you can follow their journey home.
