My daughter in law Emma told me I should make some ghosts holding cats. She sent me a sketch she drew at work. I am not going to tell you whether she was supposed to be doing something else at the time. The point is that the sketch was absolutely perfect and this necklace exists because of it and I think we should all be grateful.
The Piece
A small friendly ghost, the kind who is not trying to frighten anyone and is in fact very busy holding a black cat, floats in sterling silver with that particular expression of a ghost who has found their person and intends to stay. The cat is tucked against the ghost's side with its tail curling downward, rendered in deep oxidized silver so dark it reads as true black against the lighter ghost body. The ghost's trailing edge is layered and textured, catching light at different angles as the necklace moves.
Each ghost is approximately 1 inch tall and 0.75 inches wide and comes on an 18 inch sterling silver chain ready to wear the moment it arrives.
Every ghost in this small collection will be made from scratch and each one is its own slightly unique version of the same design, the same way that no two ghosts are exactly alike.
The cats, like all the cats in The Striped Cat Metalworks collection, are unnamed so that you can decide for yourself which cat your ghost is holding. It is probably yours.

A Note from Tamara
Emma is my daughter in law and she had this idea and I am so glad she did. She sketched it up and sent it to me. I looked at it and thought yes, obviously, a ghost holding a black cat, why did I not think of this sooner?! I made the first one for her and then made a few more because so many of you loved hers when you saw it. These are a Halloween piece but honestly a ghost holding a black cat is appropriate for every season if you ask me and I hope whoever wears one agrees.
Shipping
Your ghost will be made to order just for you within 1-2 weeks. It will then be packaged up safely and sent to you with a tracking number so you can follow its journey home to you.
