A Tiny World on Your Chest
This is a scene so many of us live with every single day and love completely despite ourselves. An open window letting in the summer light through beautiful draped curtains. Two shelves positioned high on the wall holding a flower pot, a vase, and a small stack of books, all placed there deliberately, all slightly too interesting to be truly safe. And below, a cat at the houseplant on the little table, one paw already making contact, wearing an expression of complete innocence and total intent.
We put things up high. They find a way. We complain loudly. We would not change a single thing.
What Makes This Pendant Extraordinary
Every tiny element of this scene was hand cut from sterling and fine silver using magnifying lenses and a very steady hand, each curtain fold, each shelf, each tiny book, each leaf of the houseplant, all formed individually and arranged inside the glass cabochon dome that keeps the whole world safely tucked inside.
But look at the side of the pendant. Running all the way around the circumference of the dome is an intricate botanical border, delicate leaves and branches flowing continuously around the edge like a tiny nature illustration framing the whole scene. It is the kind of detail that most people will not notice at first glance and will not be able to stop looking at once they do.
Above the scene, suspended from the pendant on its own little loops, floats a cloud shaped moonstone. Rose cut and glowing with that signature blue flash that moonstones catch in certain light, it sits above the cat's world like a small perfect summer cloud drifting past the open window. It is the most whimsical and wonderful detail and it makes the whole pendant feel like a little world with its own weather.
On the back of the pendant you will find Max, my maker's mark, because every piece that leaves my studio carries a little piece of him with it.

I made this piece because cats and houseplants living together is one of life's great joys and one of life's great challenges and somehow both at the same time. I put the collectibles up high on those shelves because that is what we do. I gave the cat a houseplant to paw at because that is what they do. I put a moonstone cloud above it all because every good story deserves a little magic floating overhead. I hope this pendant makes you smile every single time you put it on and think of whoever is at home right now, definitely not touching anything.
