The Koroks
Koroks are the small forest spirits of Hyrule, ancient companions of the Great Deku Tree who spend their days hiding in the most beautiful and unexpected corners of the world, tucked under rocks and perched in treetops and waiting patiently to be found by someone paying close enough attention. They are curious and joyful and endlessly enthusiastic about the small things, a new flower, an interesting stone, a particularly good hiding spot. They shake their berry twigs at you in excitement when you find them. They spin their leaf propellers and go where the wind takes them.
They are, in other words, exactly the kind of company you want on a walk in the woods.
The Legend of Zelda series has been part of so many people's lives for so long that finding a fellow traveler in it feels like recognition, like meeting someone who also stops to look at interesting rocks and keeps a curiosity cabinet and considers getting lost in the forest a good afternoon. These earrings were made for those people specifically.
The Piece
Five korok designs are available and you choose two, one for each ear. They can match or they can be mismatched, which is honestly how most good friendships work anyway. Your options are the devil face korok, the butterfly face korok, the heart face korok, the maple leaf face korok, and Makar. Each one has its own expression and its own particular energy. The numbered photo in the listing shows all five side by side so you can see exactly who you are choosing.
Once you have chosen your two koroks you also choose what they are holding. Leaf propellers, which stand about 1.25 inches tall, for the koroks who want to spin off on their own adventures. Or berry twigs, which stand about 1 inch tall, for the koroks who have found something wonderful and are shaking it at you enthusiastically to make sure you noticed.
Every korok is made entirely from scratch from recycled sterling silver, carved by hand, never cast. Each face was made by pressing a real leaf directly into the silver, transferring its exact veins and texture permanently into the metal. The leaf is destroyed in the process. This means every single korok face is genuinely one of a kind because every leaf that has ever existed is its own completely unrepeatable thing. Your koroks will carry the impressions of two leaves that no longer exist.
They hang from sterling silver ear wires and will dance around with every movement the way koroks absolutely would if given the opportunity.

A Note from Tamara
I do not usually make pieces from video games but I made an exception for koroks because they feel like they belong in my world anyway. They are forest spirits who love small beautiful things and want to show them to you. They hide in nature waiting for someone curious enough to find them. They shake their berry twigs and spin their leaf propellers and go on adventures and they have never once in their lives walked past an interesting rock without stopping to look at it. I have been making jewelry about the hidden wonders of the natural world for years and koroks have always felt like kindred spirits in that project. These are available for a limited time only. Choose your koroks carefully. They will go everywhere with you.
Shipping
Your koroks will be made to order just for you in my little studio in the New Hampshire woods. Please allow one to two weeks for them to be created. You will receive a tracking number by email so you can follow them on their adventure to their new home.
